Meet the Founder

Nilda Vega, MS. LPC

After spending several years working at a not for profit clinic serving the community, I decided to branch out on my own to offer a personal approach to the needs of my clients as well as meeting the needs of cultural differences.

I realized through my work that the majority of my clients were affected by trauma,  domestic violence/intimate partner violence, anxieties and several other mental health disorders. So I decided to offer a specific evidence-based treatment that would help process several forms of mental health concerns at a faster more effective pace than traditional talk therapy; with EMDR.

I have experience with all ages and stages of life including OCD, Trauma, ASD, Comorbid Disorders, Personality, Psychosis, ADHD, Depression, and Identity Concerns. I have worked with victims of sexual abuse, trafficking, immigration matters and participated in a collaborative learning with Yale Youth Mental Program on early psychosis.  I also have experience working with extreme anxiety situations such as selective mute and specific phobias, adjustment issues and depression to name a few.

I have a double Associate's Degree in Behavioral Mental Health, BS in Human Services, a minor in Criminal  Justice and a Master of Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Bridgeport. Credentialed as a licensed professional counselor.
